Mayank Yadav Fitness Update

Ahead of the team selection, IPL 2024 sensation Mayank Yadav has provided an important update on his fitness. The 22-year-old pacer from Delhi made a significant impact in the Indian Premier League (IPL) this year, playing for the Lucknow Super Giants. Despite showcasing his pace and potential, Mayank struggled with fitness issues, limiting his participation to just four matches where he managed to pick up seven wickets.

Recovery and Training at NCA

Mayank Yadav is currently undergoing rehabilitation at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bengaluru. He has resumed bowling with full run-up and intensity, indicating a positive recovery trajectory.

“My recovery programme went very well, and I feel much better now. I feel much fitter as well,” Mayank shared with The Telegraph.

However, despite the promising recovery, Mayank is expected to remain at the NCA for additional time to ensure complete fitness, casting doubts on his selection for the Sri Lanka series.

“Yes, I’ll have to spend some more time here, but the good thing is, I’ve been bowling with the full run-up and a lot of intensity over the past few days. I’m happy with my progress so far,” he added.
