Mushfiqur Rahim hit the fastest century in the second ODI against Ireland in Sylhet. He scored 100 runs in 60 balls with 14 fours and 2 huge sixes. In this match, Bangladesh scored 349 runs for the loss of 6 wickets beating the previous best of 338 runs in 8 wickets. This match was called off due to rain.
In this match Bangladesh bat first and their first wicket down in the shape of Tamim Iqbal for 23. But for the second wicket, Liton Das (70 runs) and Najmul Hossain (73 runs) made a 101-run partnership. After Bangladesh was 190 for 4 wickets. From this point, Mushfiqur took charge with Towhid Hridoy (who scored 92 runs in the first ODI). They both added 228 runs in just 78 balls. Towhid Hridoy was out at 49 runs.
