Pre-Tournament Friendlies
Before finalizing the squad, a total of 29 players were called up for pre-tournament friendlies against Guatemala and Ecuador. Coach Scaloni used these matches as important training to assess his players’ form and preparedness for the competition.
Notable Exclusions
Valentín Barco, Ángel Correa, and Leo Balerdi were three players who did not make the final cut for the Copa America squad. Despite their talents and contributions in the friendlies, these players were left out of the final 26-member squad.
