Jitesh Sharma Biography Profile: Jitesh Sharma is an Indian cricketer. He made his international debut against Nepal on 3 October 2023 during the 2022 Asian Games. He plays domestic cricket for Vidarbha and plays in the Indian Premier League (IPL) for Punjab Kings. He is a wicket-keeper batsman with an aggressive batting style.
In domestic cricket, he first played a List A match (one-day format) for Vidarbha on 27 February 2014. He made his first-class debut (multi-day format) in the 2015-16 Ranji Trophy on 1 October 2015. In the 2018-19 Vijay Hazare Trophy, he scored the most runs (298) for Vidarbha in seven matches.
Jitesh Sharma’s performance in the 2023 IPL season helped him get noticed by the Indian national team. He also played for Bhawanipore Club in the P. Sen Trophy.
Jitesh Sharma was first called up to the Indian team in January 2023 for the T20I series against Sri Lanka. He made his international debut against Nepal on 3 October 2023 during the 2022 Asian Games. After his call-up for the Australia T20I series in 2023, there is a lot of excitement that he may be selected for the 2024 T20 World Cup.
In the fourth T20I against Australia, he scored 35 runs off 19 balls. In the fifth T20I, he scored 24 runs off 16 balls.
