On July 7, 1957, started his international debut with Brazil’s national team and played against Argentina. He became the youngest player to ever participate in a FIFA World Cup at the age of 17 and 249 days. He has helped lead Brazil to victory in the tournament and became an international sensation. He went on to play in three more World Cups 1958, 1962, and 1970. He had scored 1281 goals, a world record (Guinness World Records), in 1,363 games.
