Pele football career: Biography of Pele
Pelé began his professional career at the age of 15 on 7th September 1956 with Santos Futebol Clube a Brazilian club team against Corinthians Santo Andrea. He quickly gained fame for his exceptional skill and scoring ability and led Santos to numerous victories in the Brazilian league and international competitions.
On July 7, 1957, started his international debut with Brazil’s national team and played against Argentina. He became the youngest player to ever participate in a FIFA World Cup at the age of 17 and 249 days. He has helped lead Brazil to victory in the tournament and became an international sensation. He went on to play in three more World Cups 1958, 1962, and 1970. He had scored 1281 goals, a world record (Guinness World Records), in 1,363 games. In a total of ninety-two (92) international matches, he scored 77 goals. He was awarded the North American Soccer League, Soccer Bowl in 1977
In the year 1958 FIFA World Cup, he was the main player who played a crucial role in defeating Sweden and Brazil won her first World Cup. In the 1962 FIFA World Cup, Brazil won her second World Cup title but Pele played very limitedly as he was injured. In 1970 Pele again won the World Cup for Brazil and won the Golden Ball.
